Maggie Mountain Villas
Policies and Guest Information     

General:
We strive to keep our properties in excellent condition.  Guests are responsible for any damage or missing/broken items occurring during their stay.   We cannot be responsible for any malfunctions or failures beyond our reasonable control.  There are no refunds for such occurrences as utility, appliance or any other malfunction, failure or event.   It may be necessary for management to enter the premises for maintenance.  Management will attempt to notify guests on such occasions.

Reservations:
Advanced reservations are suggested as we have many repeat guests.   A 50% deposit is required within one week from the date of reservation and the balance is due 2 weeks prior to arrival.  If a remittance is not received within the specified time frame, the reservation may be cancelled.  A $200 security deposit is required for a stay of 4 or more nights.  The security deposit will be returned after it is determined that there are no guest related damages or charges.

Payment:
Sorry, no credit cards.  Payment may be made by personal/business check, money order, traveler's check or cash.

Cancellation:
If cancellation is necessary, deposits will be refunded with either 30 days notice or if the property can be rented for the same time frame.   There will be no partial refunds.  There is a $35 cancellation fee.

Check In/Out Times:
Standard check in time is from 3pm to 6pm.  Late arrivals can be arranged.  Check out time is 11am. There are no refunds for early departure.

Telephone:
Use a credit card or call collect when practical.  If a guest must use the phone for other than a local call, please leave an appropriate amount.  Guests will be billed for all toll calls.   Note that most calls outside of Maggie and Waynesville are toll calls.

Furnishings:
Do not move furnishings or decorations.  Twin beds may be placed together as long as they are returned to their original positions before departure.

Pets:
Well behaved pets are welcome at a nominal additional charge.   Guests are responsible for pickup and disposal of litter.

Smoking:
Smoking is not permitted inside the house.  Ash trays are available, however we ask that our smoking guests go outside.   Please do not discard tobacco products on the grounds.

Trash:
Place all trash in outside barrels.  Please empty all liquid containers before placing in trash barrels. Discard or take all remaining food products.  Please do not litter the grounds.

Winter Visits:
Guests should be aware that winter weather in the mountains can change quickly and dramatically.
We cannot guarantee access to our properties at all times.  These occurrences are very rare.
However, if weather conditions prevent your arrival, deposits cannot be refunded but will be applied
to a visit at another time within one year.  If guests are unable to depart due to weather conditions, additional nights will be charged.

Firewood:
Firewood, with starter logs, will be available from September to March and will be provided at our current cost.  Please request when making reservation.
