Maggie Valley is a Vacation Destination and is nestled between the
Great Smoky Mountains, the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Nantahala
National Forest which accounts for it's unusual beauty and magic charm.
While there are many things to see and do within a short distance, the
Valley is so wonderfully and centrally located that there are dozens of
other intriguing places to visit within an hour of every direction.  Fishing,
swimming, boating, white water rafting, canoeing, waterfalls, hiking,
biking, horseback riding and picnic areas are some of the adventures
available.  Many guests plan Day Trips, in advance or spontaneously.
In winter there is skiing, snow boarding, snow tubing and snowmobiles
for kids.  State of the art snow making equipment is used and there will
always be snow on the ground during the winter months.  Skiing is available
from November to March.  Area scenery is spectacular after a snowfall. There is always something of interest in our wonderful area
- for adults and kids of all ages.
